Jersey has always been more than just a holiday destination to us
My connection with Jersey goes back more than 30 years, to when I worked for the original Preston Holidays, one of the UK’s best-known Channel Islands holiday specialists.
It was there that Jersey became much more than somewhere I sold holidays to. One day, I took a booking from a travel agent. We got talking, that conversation led to something more, and she eventually became my wife.
Jersey became part of our story. I proposed there, we spent our honeymoon there, and over the years we returned many times with our children. It’s an island that has given our family some very special memories.
And somewhere along the way, Jersey got into my blood.

From Preston Holidays to Go-Jersey
After gaining years of experience in the travel industry, I eventually decided to create something of my own.
In 2019, I launched Go-Jersey with a simple idea: to offer Jersey holidays with the kind of friendly, personal service that can sometimes get lost when booking with a large travel company.
Unfortunately, just six months later, Covid arrived.
Jersey closed its borders and travel became incredibly difficult. Despite everything that happened, Go-Jersey still helped around 150 people travel to the island and built a small but loyal group of customers.
What I learned from that experience was that people valued being able to speak to a real person — someone who knew Jersey, listened to what they wanted and could help put the right holiday together.
That philosophy is at the heart of Jersey Travel Centre.
A more personal way to book Jersey
Jersey Travel Centre isn’t designed to be another huge online booking website.
There isn’t a computer asking you to choose a holiday from thousands of combinations and expecting you to work everything out yourself.
Instead, tell us what you’re looking for and we’ll help put it together.
We specialise in ferry and hotel holidays to Jersey, whether you’re travelling as a couple, a family or simply looking for a few days away.
We can help you choose the right ferry crossing, accommodation and length of stay, and we’ll provide a personalised quotation based on your requirements.
And if you’re not quite sure which hotel or part of the island would suit you, just ask.
That’s what we’re here for.

Why Quiet Jersey matters to us
There’s another reason why the way we help people travel has become particularly important to me.
One of our children has significant additional needs. Crowds, noise, unfamiliar surroundings and people getting too close can make travelling extremely difficult for her.
We know first-hand that something most families wouldn’t think twice about — walking through an airport, going through security, boarding transport or arriving somewhere unfamiliar — can become a major challenge for another family.
We’ve also experienced how much difference a little understanding can make.
On one of our ferry journeys to Jersey, after we explained our daughter’s needs, the crew helped us find a quieter area where she had more space and could settle. It completely changed the journey for our family.
Then we arrived in Jersey.
The open beaches, fresh air and space gave her somewhere she could simply be herself.
That experience is one of the reasons we’ve created Quiet Jersey.

Helping you find your Jersey
We know that everyone’s perfect holiday looks different.
For one person it might be sitting outside a café in St Helier. For another it’s walking along the coast, exploring the island by car or spending the afternoon on the beach at St Brelade’s Bay.
And for some families, the perfect holiday might simply mean finding somewhere that feels a little quieter, easier and less overwhelming.
Whatever your reason for visiting, we’d like to help you discover the Jersey that works for you.
Because we’re not just selling holidays to somewhere on a map. We’re helping people discover an island that has been part of our own family’s story for more than 30 years.
